This was the kids' last week of summer and it was a complete doozie for them. We did absolutely nothing because I've been working and taking care of mom since Ralph left last week. Dan hardly ever takes time off to hang with the kids.  As a matter of fact he has been so wrapped up in his nintendo switch game that he's been merely a lump on a log.  The kids are often times disappointed that he doesn't engage with us.  I'm not sure what to do about it either.  I mention it to him and he just shrugs it off.
Anyway, the only outside thing the kids have done this week was the La Mesa Farmers market on Friday.  They both filled up on some good eats there.   Tyler was also able to pick up some books from Barnes and Nobles.   Next year I'll need to do better with planning fun things for them throughout the summer.
Here we are in a Sunday under Tropical Storm Watch Hilary.  The eye of the storm hits us between 3-6pm.  It's about 230p and its been pretty mild so far. It's been a constant drizzle since about midnight. Moms house is leaking again, surprise surprise.  Im debating whether I'm going to brave the roads and head home to see the family or not.  Haven't decided yet.  Trying to see how bad the rain gets and if the winds will start blowing like they said it would.
