The kids are starting to get antsy with summer.  It was a pretty big week for me.  I chopped off my hair and got a buzzed pixie. I finally made the plunge to embrace my greys cause I'm tired of dying every week.  The best and fastest way to embrace it is to cut it super short. The people i shared it with were super shocked.  I get funny looks from people in public too.
We did a beach day with the kids on Saturday. We were at Pacific Beach from about 230p to 830p.  The kids invited a few friends to hang with.  They really enjoyed their time.
We closed out the weekend visiting mom and dad.  Hannah got to spend time with Ella and Matthew for a couple hours.

So this week was a big week for Tyler.  On Wednesday we did the first of back to school shopping at the Viejas Outlet Center.  Then we watched the sunset at Mount Soledad.  Then on Friday we went to the La Mesa Farmer's Market as a family.  Danny came with and we had dinner at Surf Rider Pizza. It was really nice to be out as a family of 4.  On Saturday Tyler went blonde. He's been waiting to go blonde since the beginning of Summer.  Im glad we made it happen for him. He's been so stoked.  Tyler and Dan had a father/son date.  They watched the Superman movie and had Shake Shack for dinner.  While Hannah and went to Kanpai for dinner and Misomi for ice cream. Hannah had a ninja cone which was oreo ice cream with pop rocks and I had the avocado ice cream.  Then we closed out the weekend at Lola's doing some chores.  We ended the day with making a bracelet holder for Tyler.

So I had an epidural cortisone injection on Monday in hopes it would help my back.  The jury is still out because my back still hurts but maybe in a couple weeks it will feel better.
I started to plan the kid's beach day. I got the invite done and now we plan food and activities.

This year we decided to spend the 4th of July in downtown so we can enjoy the San Diego Big Bay Boom.  I booked us 3 days and 2 nights at the Embassy Suites downtown near Seaport Village.  It was the perfect spot.  We explored around the Midway and Seaport Village.  I think the kids enjoyed it.  We even brought Sophie with us.
