This week has been an okay week.  From a work standpoint it's been bleh. I found out that I'm going to lead the NW deployment. I'm not super happy about it but it is what it is.
From a home standpoint it's been good. With Ralph in town, I'm home for the next 2 weeks. There's so much I want to do but so little time to do it. I finally fixed the kitchen drawer that's been broken for a couple weeks now. Next up is to hang the bikes in the back somehow.
Mom has been a little difficult. We've reduced some of her meds to keep her comfortable.  It'll be interesting to see how she does with this reduced regimen.  She's lost control of her bowels already.  Refusing to eat and drink. So at this point its a matter of time before her body starts to give up.
In the picture is 3 generations of Dulays.  Taking a moment to appreciate the time the 3 of us can spend time.

The end of this week has been particularly tough with mom.  She had labs done at the beginning of the week.  Her potassium is low as we were expecting since we reduced her potassium pills. She has been fighting me with eating a banana everyday.
From a family point of view things have been okay.  Kids and hubby are doing ok.

This week was an okay week. From a work front, the project that I was leading was deployed to production.  I'm no longer on the hot seat so super happy to be in a supportive role.
From a family front, kids are living the summer break life.  I don't think tyler is thrilled about having to spend the night at Lola's twice a week but is understanding about it.  He's learned to cook eggs, hamburger and put together a BLT.  He's making a lot of progress in expanding his palate.
Hannah's been enjoying pulling all nighters with her friends.   She's been making Youtube videos and other stuff with her friends too.
We went to the La Mesa Farmers market this week.  The kids liked it a lot. This coming Friday we will leave moms a little later between 330 and 4pm and pick up dinner from there.

This last week we celebrated Independence Day on Tuesday.  We visited mom in the morning then had a very small BBQ at home.  We had ribs and chicken.
The following day, Hannah had a movie night at her friend Charlotte's house.  She was pretty stoked about it and thoroughly enjoyed being out until 10pm.
We ended the week with visiting dad. We are back at mom's full time for the next 3 weeks.  Though I'm not thrilled about it, she's enjoying time away from Ralph.

This past week we recovered from the trip to Oklahoma.  On Tuesday I took the kids to the boardwalk so Tyler could skate and us girls scootered behind him. We had lunch at Mr. Motos then ended with dessert at the baked bear.  On Wednesday we went to the Del Mar Fair. The kids enjoyed many rides. Hannah finally got to try deep fried oreos.  Tyler scor3e with some cool metal posters.  On Thursday I finally got the steroid shot in my back.  It helped for the first day but now I'm back to square one, pinching pain.  Back to work for me on Friday.  We saw mom on Saturday and Sunday.  I worry about her because she's having such a hard time getting around now.
