This week was a bit of an off week. I've been sick for what feels like a month now. The kids finished state testing this week.  I also had lunch on the lawn with Tyler on Friday. I wish I took a picture of us.
This Saturday we celebrated Tyler (13), Hannah (11) and Eva (6).  Very small gathering this year. Their older cousins had other plans.
We also went to the Santee Street Fair where Hannah's artwork was displayed.

This week has been quite busy. Work announced that the deployment date for my project will be delayed until tbd. I was really hoping this project would deploy on time cause I'm so tired of leading it.
Tyler has been having a hard time with his grades lately.  He's been putting way too much weight on his GPA that he's self destructing. There's a possibility he will not end the year with a 4.0 GPA.
Mom has been ok. Found out she has a rash under her left boob which may be causing the change in mental state. Hopefully this will clear up and she'll be a bit back to normal.
Hannah and I did a green tea facial today. We also took mom to visit dad.

This week was my last week at mom's before Ralph arrived Saturday morning.  It was a bittersweet feeling for me because I know she struggles when Ralph is here.
Mom's cognitive state has been decreasing. She's vocalized it to me many times. Her answer is to move back to the Philippines where someone else can take care of her.  She's tired of feeling helpless and knowing she's a burden to us.  She knows there is something wrong with her but she doesn't know what and that it hurts her that she's going thru this and also dragging us along.
I had a killer week at work.  I presented in 3 forums this week. Hawaii Market SteerCo, KPIF LOB SteerCo and the KPMC SteerCo.  I hate presenting so I'm glad these are all under my belt. I'm sure there are a few more forums for me to present in for this HI deployment.
The best part of this week was celebrating Tyler on Mother's Day.  He is half the reason I'm able to celebrate the day. We surprised him with lunch at Shake Shack, movie tickets to see Guardians of the Galaxy 3, dinner at Bad Hombres and in lieu of a birthday cupcake he had a 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream from Handel's. He opened all this presents and was happy he got everything on his wishlist.   We officially have a teen in the house, 13 please be kind to him.

This week was long.  The kids had state testing so the week dragged foe them. We were all looking forward to the weekend.
This weekend was pretty eventful.  Mom had a major accident which could have been avoided.   One thing to note is that I think Mom is declining.  I thought she might have a UTI but she doesn't so the change in her mental state is not from an infection.  I knew she would decline as time progressed but seeing it now is really quite scary and I'm not sure what to do.
So last night Mom complied and used the restroom when Paul asked. The problem is Mom didn't put a diaper on.  When I brought her back for bed she voided all over the bathroom floor.  She was so embarrassed.  In the moment I lost my shit and yelled at her.  I didn't mean to but she was there. I was upset at Paul for not ensuring she had a diaper on. The problem is that Paul doesn't care about what happens when he's not there and always takes the easy way out.  I get so upset because I'm the one who has to clean and deal with the fall out.
Visiting dad seemed to put her in a better spirit. Will need to keep this up so it keeps her happy.
